ACT Alliance is a vibrant and diverse community, united by shared values of faith, justice, inclusion, and solidarity. Our strength lies in our ongoing commitment to decolonising aid by placing local leadership and knowledge at the heart of everything we do.

With over 152 member organisations organised through regional and national Forums and operating in 125 countries, ACT Alliance promotes a locally led approach that maximises efficiency and avoids duplication of efforts by our members. These Forums foster collaboration where it matters most, ensuring coordinated, context-driven responses to humanitarian aid.

ACT Forums by Region

ACT Alliance’s national, sub-regional and regional forums are a defining feature of the alliance. These are spaces where members working in the same country or region come together as equals to coordinate humanitarian, development and advocacy efforts, often in partnership with local churches and community organisations.

Through this approach, forums:

“The network of ACT Alliance offers a great potential for international, national and local organizations, cooperating equitably in disaster preparedness and response to emergencies worldwide. If properly used by all members, the Humanitarian Mechanism is an excellent tool to pool funds and operational expertise together to respond to crises in programs driven by disaster-affected communities and local faith actors. In 2024, the  Alliance initiated an improvement plan for the Rapid Response Fund (RRF).
