In every culture there are stereotypes for men, women and LGBTI+. Often our genders push us to accept roles, or demand others accept roles, that can place them in heightened risk
[/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_toggle title=”Bias” _builder_version=”4.10.8″ _module_preset=”a01127a0-aac0-440b-97e0-fe07d274e379″ background_color=”#4b5c5a” custom_margin=”|-200px|||false|false” custom_padding=”10px|20px|10px|20px|false|false” custom_css_toggle_content=”padding: 20px;” border_width_all=”1.5px” border_color_all=”#dbdede” global_colors_info=”{}”]
We all have biases about gender even if we are not aware of them. These often feed into stereotypes but can also affect how we interact with other genders and inform our expectations of them.
[/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_toggle title=”Prejudice” _builder_version=”4.10.8″ _module_preset=”a01127a0-aac0-440b-97e0-fe07d274e379″ background_color=”#4b5c5a” custom_margin=”|-200px|||false|false” custom_padding=”10px|20px|10px|20px|false|false” custom_css_toggle_content=”padding: 20px;” border_width_all=”1.5px” border_color_all=”#dbdede” global_colors_info=”{}”]
Prejudice is not limited just to race, colour and religion. Bias and stereotypes can drive underlying prejudices that can place people at increased risk based on their gender.
